Chronic migraines are defined as migraines occurring 15 or more days per month for at least three consecutive months.
Migraines are characterized by intense, throbbing head pain, often accompanied by nausea, sensitivity to light or sound, and sometimes visual disturbances such as flashing lights.
Dr. Ahmed understands the challenges people face when living with chronic migraines. He is a family physician with advanced training in complex care and a special clinical focus on chronic migraine management including therapeutic botox and CGRPs.
Eagle Creek Medical Clinic is committed to supporting patients with chronic migraine through evidence‑based care and personalized treatment strategies. Our mission is to enhance quality of life by offering comprehensive migraine management in a compassionate, patient‑centred environment.

Preventative medications help reduce how often migraines occur and how severe they become. They work by stabilizing the brain’s pain pathways and lowering overall migraine activity.

Abortive medications are taken at the start of a migraine attack to stop symptoms from escalating. They work by targeting overactive pain pathways and reducing nausea, light sensitivity, and head pain.

CGRP‑targeted treatments work by interrupting the signals that activate migraine pathways, leading to fewer and less intense migraine days. Options include monthly injections or daily oral tablets.

Botox for chronic migraine works by reducing nerve activity that triggers migraine attacks, leading to fewer and less intense migraine days over time. It is administered on a consistent 12‑week schedule for ongoing benefit.
*Please note we provide a prescription for your therapeutic botox which gets filled at the pharmacy and gets sent to us the same day of your appointment.

Nerve blocks help reduce migraine frequency and flare‑ups by temporarily calming irritated sensory nerves in the head and neck. They provide targeted relief and can be repeated at regular intervals when symptoms return.
*This is an MSP/LFP covered expense. Patients do not have to pay out of pocket for this.

We help patients navigate insurance forms and prior authorization requirements for chronic migraine therapies. Our team prepares the necessary clinical notes and supporting documents to make the approval process as smooth as possible.
To begin care with us, please ask your primary health care provider to send a referral to our clinic. This helps us ensure you receive the most appropriate migraine focused support. Please note at this time we are only accepting referrals for chronic migraines.
