He is a Clinical Instructor through the UBC Department of Family Practice. Outside of medicine, Dr. Ahmed fosters and rehabilitates animals with various organizations.
Andrea Buchan graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Science of Nursing. She spent many enjoyable years working on the Woman’s Health and Surgical unit at Victoria General Hospital and most recently she worked as a community health nurse. Andrea enjoys spending time in nature with her family and friends hiking, skiing and exploring the West Coast.
Dr. Patel is a settler from India who migrated to Edmonton, Alberta in 2016 and is now happy to call Victoria her home. She is completing her training in Family Medicine here in Victoria through the University of British Columbia. She is really passionate about working with people in this community to help them achieve their health goals.

Born and raised in North Vancouver, Dr. Jaibat spends most of her free time at the beach or on the mountains. She loves to snowboard, hike, camp, and play volleyball, and has been lucky to travel all over the world (highlights including Ecuador, Jordan, Oman, and Qatar). She is excited to be making the move to Victoria as a part of the UBC Victoria Family Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Briggs grew up in 100 Mile House, BC. She completed her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at the University of Lethbridge and medical school at the University of Calgary. She spends her time off doing judo, trail running, skiing and learning to mountain bike. She is excited to join the team at ECMC as a Family Medicine Resident.
Born in England, grew up in Newfoundland, and from Manitoba - Dr. Rehal joins ECMC as a Family Medicine Resident. He is a big hockey, soccer and really into technology.
Originally from Ethiopia, Aziza received her Diploma in 2007 for Medical Administration Assistant in Calgary. She worked in a family physician office there for three years and subsequently moved to Victoria in 2010 and has worked in primary care clinics since this time.
Originally from New Delhi. Rinky completed a Bachelor of Science from Delhi University in 2005 and MOA certification from Camosun College in 2019. Since then, she has worked in multiple primary care clinics and has years of administration experience. Apart from work, she enjoys hiking, gardening and camping with family.
Originally from Kamloops BC, Dawn has been an MOA for the past 14 years, with experience in management. In her spare time she loves hiking, biking and camping with her family.
Ms. McCart was the ECMC Clinic Director from 2016-2021 and is now enjoying a well deserved retirement. She continues to work as a consultant for the clinic.
