Due to the recent closures and shortages of physicians within the city we understand that it is difficult to get timely medication refills. Dr. Ahmed has set up an emergency medication refill program to help support patients while longer term solutions are implemented. This program will allow patients who are currently on long standing medications for chronic disease management and have some type of follow up in place to receive ONE MONTH of medication refills. Patients will be asked about upcoming follow up care which can include pending appointments with nurse practitioners, walk in clinics, care provided through telehealth services, UPCC etc.
- Narcotics (hydromorphone, fentanyl, oxycodone etc)
- Stimulants (ritalin, concerta, vyvanse etc)
- Benzodiazepines (lorazepam, clonazepam etc)
- Medications for acute medical concerns (UTIs, Sinus infections, ear infections etc)
- Recently started medications which are prescribed and followed by specialists (methotrexate, accutane etc)
Please call 778-405-2452 at 10 am on Monday mornings as spots are limited. Once booked physicians will contact you on Friday/Saturday mornings. If capacity is reached for the week an automated voice service will notify patients. We recommend that you try again the following week Monday.
***Please note that this is not a walk-in service and is designed to help unattached patients with chronic long standing diseases, who are on stable doses of their current medications and have follow up by another physician pending or in the near future (i.e. walk-in clinic, specialist, urgent care centre or online platforms). At this time we are only able to provide ONE MONTH of medication refills.
If you are a patient of Eagle Creek you do not qualify for this program.
For patients who have not received prescriptions at their pharmacy or if any errors noted on their prescription please call 778-405-2452 on Monday morning between 9 am - 10 am. All others will be redirected to call at 10 am.
